Summer.fi Shuts Down After $6.1M Attack, Operations to End August 31

DeFi yield platform Summer.fi has announced it will shut down after an attack on the Lazy Summer Protocol on July 6 made continued operations impossible. According to Foresight News, the attack directly caused approximately $6.1 million in losses, and team members' personal assets, which were also held in the affected vaults, further reduced the operational funds needed for recovery. The Summer.fi application will continue to operate until August 31, while the Lazy Summer DAO is advancing processes to restore full vault withdrawals and redemptions.
