According to CNBC, Morgan Stanley has identified GE Vernova, United Airlines, and Lam Research as companies likely to deliver positive profit surprises during the current earnings season. The investment bank screened for stocks it rates overweight and expects to exceed estimates on key performance indicators, as well as those anticipated to raise forward earnings guidance. GE Vernova shares have gained 64% year to date amid rising AI-driven demand for energy infrastructure, and Morgan Stanley said a better-than-expected earnings forecast linked to new gas turbine contracts could drive further gains. United Airlines, up 24% over the past three months, could benefit from a stronger financial outlook for the rest of the year, with the bank noting healthy airline demand and booking intent. Lam Research, whose shares have more than doubled in 2026, may rally on a strong revenue outlook for the current quarter, as the bank cited robust AI demand and improving equipment orders. GE Vernova reports second-quarter results on July 22, United Airlines on July 23, and Lam Research on July 29.
