South Korea's KOSPI index surged more than 8% during intraday trading on Wednesday, as the Seoul stock market reclaimed the 7,000-point level amid rising risk appetite and increased foreign buying. According to Odaily, foreign investors recorded net purchases of 2.4 trillion won worth of stocks as of 2:30 p.m. local time, more than double the nearly 1 trillion won net buying seen the previous day. Institutional investors added 180 billion won in net purchases, though at a slower pace than Tuesday. Retail investors were the only net sellers, offloading nearly 2.5 trillion won in stocks.
