Only 67 of the top 1,000 cryptocurrency projects by market capitalization have a Wikipedia page, representing about 6.7%, according to Chainstory data cited by Cointelegraph.
According to ChainCatcher, the share of projects with Wikipedia pages varies sharply by market-cap tier: about 80% among the top 10 projects, 40% among the top 100, and 12% among the top 500.
Chainstory said the information gap could affect how AI tools understand the crypto industry, noting that Wikipedia remains an important reference source for some generative AI systems.
