China Merchants Securities said the current rally in electronic fiberglass cloth is a high-prosperity cycle jointly driven by a surge in AI industry demand and orderly supply.
According to Jin10, the brokerage said trading has moved from a phase dominated by price increases caused by cloth shortages to a stage focused on whether price gains can exceed expectations and how long the upcycle can last, which it said will respectively determine companies’ earnings per share and valuations.
China Merchants Securities said the electronic fiberglass cloth industry still has room to run, but the main driver is expected to shift from valuation expansion to earnings growth, and it advised focusing on the realization of profitability.
The report also said the current fiberglass rally is being driven by a surge in demand for AI computing power and a resonance effect from capacity shifts by leading producers, with both mid-to-high-end electronic fiberglass cloth and conventional electronic fiberglass cloth seeing price increases in tandem.
