Intel Launches EUR 5 Billion Investment to Expand Leixlip Manufacturing Site in Ireland

Intel said on Monday it has launched a EUR 5 billion (about USD 5.7 billion) capital investment plan to expand its manufacturing base at the Leixlip campus outside Dublin, Ireland, according to 36Kr. The funding will be used to upgrade existing facilities at Fab 34, install advanced production equipment, and expand an automated wafer transport system to increase capacity for Xeon 6 and next-generation Xeon server processors made on the Intel 3 process, as global demand for AI and high-performance computing rises.
