International oil prices rose at the close. According to Jin10, the New York Mercantile Exchange light sweet crude oil futures contract for August delivery rose $1.20 to settle at $79.34 per barrel, up 1.54%.
The London Brent crude oil futures contract for September delivery rose $1.43 to settle at $84.73 per barrel, up 1.72%.
