China Automobile Association: Strong dissatisfaction with the provisional countervailing duty rate disclosed by the European Commission

On June 13, the China Automobile Association issued a document today saying that on June 12, the European Union Commission, in the disclosure of anti-subsidy investigation information on China's electric vehicles, ignored the facts and insisted that there were high "subsidies" in China's electric vehicle industry, which caused damage to the European Union's electric vehicle industry. It also plans to impose temporary countervailing duties on electric vehicles exported from China. The China Automobile Industry Association deeply regrets this and says it cannot accept it firmly. The China Automobile Association hopes that the European Union Commission will not regard the current phased vehicle trade phenomenon that must go through the current industrial development as a long-term threat, let alone politicize economic and trade issues, abuse trade remedy measures, avoid harming and distorting the global automotive industry chain including the European Union supply chain, and maintain a fair, non-discriminatory and predictable market environment. We hope that the European Union automotive industry will think rationally and take active actions to jointly maintain the current situation of reasonable competition, mutual benefit and win-win situation between the two sides, and jointly promote the healthy and sustainable development of the global automotive industry.
