The NEAR Foundation has joined the x402 Foundation to support work related to agent payments using NEAR’s infrastructure. According to Foresight News, the effort includes handling agent payment-related functions across several NEAR components.
The NEAR Foundation said it plans to use NEAR Intents to enable universal liquidity and confidential execution. It also cited NEAR AI for privacy-preserving inference and agent security.
In addition, the foundation referenced the NEAR Agent Market for discovery and coordination between agents. It also pointed to the NEAR Protocol for scalable, quantum-resistant settlement.
