According to CNBC, Frontier Airlines and four other budget carriers backed by Indigo Partners will begin rolling out in-flight Wi-Fi early next year using SpaceX’s Starlink. Frontier said Tuesday its first Airbus aircraft equipped with Starlink internet is expected to enter service in early 2027, though the airline did not say whether the Wi-Fi will be free. The other carriers in the deal are Volaris, Wizz, Jetsmart, and Cebu Pacific; the airlines did not disclose financial terms. Frontier has been among the last major U.S. airlines without onboard Wi-Fi and is planning to introduce first-class seats next year.
