EthSystems, an engineering and research company founded by the team that created and operates the Ethereum Foundation’s Institutional Privacy Working Group, has been established and has received cornerstone investment from BitMine, Sharplink, Joe Lubin, and other ecosystem supporters. According to Foresight News, the company plans to develop privacy technology that would allow banks, asset management firms, and other regulated institutions to execute financial transactions at scale on Ethereum while avoiding disclosure of sensitive information such as transaction details or customer identities.
EthSystems is one of several organizations recently spun out from the Ethereum Foundation. Ethlabs is tasked with advancing Ethereum’s core protocol and infrastructure, while Ethereum Institutional focuses on institutional engagement, education, market intelligence, and ecosystem coordination.
EthSystems will operate at the applied technology level, translating institutional requirements into architectures, protocols, and production systems intended to support real financial activity on Ethereum.
