Starknet, an Ethereum ZK Layer-2 network, has launched STRK20, a compliance-focused privacy framework that provides native private transactions for on-chain digital assets.
According to Odaily, STRK20 operates through a privacy pool mechanism in which users deposit assets into a pool and conduct transactions under encryption, with transfer addresses and amounts not visible externally.
Starknet said developers can integrate the privacy system through a supporting SDK and wallet APIs, enabling private transfers for various ERC-20 assets.
Starknet added that the mechanism is designed to meet everyday user privacy needs while also supporting regulatory use cases such as auditability for fund tracing and tracking stolen assets.
