Nous Research, the startup behind the open-source AI agent Hermes, has raised at least $75 million in a new funding round, valuing the company at $1.5 billion post-money. According to ChainCatcher, the round was led by Robot Ventures, with participation from Union Square Ventures and other investors.
The company’s core product, Hermes, is an open-source local AI agent. ChainCatcher reported that the project has accumulated 214,000 GitHub stars and nearly 40,000 forks.
Hermes supports local deployment on personal computers and virtual servers and includes capabilities such as web search and code generation for autonomous task execution.
