Iran's parliament has formally introduced a bill focused on security in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.
According to Jin10, Ibrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, said on July 14 that the bill, titled the "Strategic Action" plan for security and a sustainable process in the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf, was formally introduced on the night of July 13.
In a social media post, Azizi said the bill was introduced as a U.S. drone was shot down. He said Iran remained firm in defending its "red lines," especially regarding management of the Strait of Hormuz.
Azizi added that this was the first step and that follow-up measures would be introduced soon.
