Desktop CNC machine maker Qisu Technology has completed an angel funding round of nearly CNY 100 million, with participation from SenseTime Guoxiang, Shouxing Technology, Quanshiji, and MiraclePlus, according to 36Kr. The company said the proceeds will be used for R&D, mass production, and marketing of its desktop CNC hardware and software products.
Qisu Technology has been developing an AI-driven CAM (computer-aided manufacturing) system since 2018 and said it has built a flexible factory to collect process data and validate its algorithms in real production. The company plans to officially launch its first desktop five-axis CNC machine in Q4 this year, featuring an automatic tool changer, automatic tool setting, a fully enclosed dustproof and noise-reduction cabin, and a 1,500W spindle.
