China Says H1 Foreign Trade Rose at a Double-Digit Pace; Imports and Exports Topped CNY 25 Trillion

China's General Administration of Customs said China posted double-digit growth in foreign trade in the first half of 2026, with total imports and exports surpassing CNY 25 trillion for the first time for the period, up CNY 3.68 trillion year on year. Wang Jun, a deputy head of the agency, said at a State Council Information Office press briefing on July 14 that monthly imports and exports have exceeded CNY 4 trillion for four consecutive months so far. China also remained the world's largest trader of goods based on the latest international data, according to 36Kr.
