Bitcoin mining pool OCEAN said it will upgrade its backend so it can independently follow multiple chains if a BIP 110 chain fork occurs.

According to ChainCatcher, OCEAN said DATUM miners would automatically continue operating on whichever chain their nodes are running if a fork happens.

OCEAN said it would record rewards for that chain in a fork share log, subject to the chain’s continued operation and its service terms.

The company added that it would effectively operate as two mining pools starting from the fork point, and said updated service terms will be released before block 961,632.
