According to CNBC, Chipotle said it will open its first restaurant in Mexico on Thursday in San Pedro Garza García, Nuevo León, as part of its partnership with restaurant group Alsea. The company said the opening is the start of a broader rollout in Mexico, including an expansion into Mexico City in 2027, and noted it plans to open an additional 350 to 370 new restaurants this year. Chipotle said it selected the Monterrey metropolitan area for its economy and growth, and that the new location will offer the same menu as its U.S. restaurants; the chain operates more than 4,100 stores worldwide.
