An Iranian lawmaker said Iran would pursue compensation from Americans for what he described as U.S. strategic mistakes.
According to Jin10, Abolfazl Zohravand, a member of the Iranian parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, made the remarks in an interview aired by RT television on July 12.
Zohravand said Iran was prepared for both war and peace, and that the United States must genuinely acknowledge its “strategic mistakes” and pay a price for them. He said U.S. President Donald Trump had claimed the United States caused Iran “$1 trillion in losses,” and added that Iran would seek to recover that amount in compensation from “current and future generations” of Americans.
Zohravand also warned that the war would not end in the short term, and said “all Iranians are ready to take revenge on the United States.”
