An adviser to Iran’s supreme leader said Iran defends the Strait of Hormuz so that it will not be forced in the future to pay “ransom” to enemies for the passage of its ships.
According to Jin10, the adviser said the purpose of protecting the strait is to ensure Iran does not have to pay an enemy for its vessels to transit the waterway.
