Polygon launches zkPoS Phase 1

Polygon launches zkPoS Phase 1, designed to connect Polygon PoS with AggLayer. The zkPoS Phase 1 features a brand new ZK validator powered by Succinct Labs' Plonky3 proof system, enabling AggLayer to verify network consensus. After integration, AggLayer's TVL will increase by more than $2 billion. Polygon plans to propose a formal PIP in the fall and plans to deploy the connection between Polygon PoS and AggLayer by the end of this year. The move is part of a long-term strategy to transition Polygon PoS to zkEVM Validium.
