A Polymarket user identified as mooseborzoi bought $550,000 worth of shares backing France to advance in the “2026 World Cup semifinal France vs. Spain” prediction market, with an average entry price of 59.9 cents and 925,017.8 shares.

According to Odaily, the account is described as having total losses exceeding $7.4 million.

Odaily also reported that the same user holds a $744,000 position predicting France will win the World Cup, showing an unrealized profit of $200,000.

The France vs. Spain match is scheduled to start at 3:00 (UTC+8) on July 15. Odaily noted that France has won the World Cup twice, in 1998 and 2018, and has performed well in this World Cup.

Odaily said Spain won the World Cup in 2010 and described the team as fast, technically skilled, and cohesive, adding that Spain has had the upper hand in recent matches against France, including the 2024 European Championship and the 2025 Nations League.
