Y Combinator partner and former Monzo co-founder Tom Blomfield said he is taking a temporary leave from Y Combinator to join large language model company Anthropic. According to PANews, Blomfield will work on Anthropic’s compute team alongside Tom Brown.
Blomfield said that as AI enters an early stage of “recursive self-improvement,” the supply of computing power is becoming a key issue. He added that his role change will focus on addressing challenges related to the availability of AI computing resources.
