The Ethereum Foundation’s Protocol Security team said it has been running coordinated AI agents against critical protocol code and has identified real vulnerabilities, including a remotely triggerable panic in the libp2p gossipsub library.
According to NS3.AI, the team reported that the libp2p gossipsub issue has been resolved and disclosed under CVE-2026-34219.
The Ethereum Foundation did not provide additional technical details in the update beyond describing the flaw as remotely triggerable and confirming its remediation and disclosure.
