Thailand’s central bank and securities regulator have reportedly started auditing high-volume stablecoin transactions, with a focus on Tether’s USDT.
According to NS3.AI, Bank of Thailand (BOT) Governor Vitai Ratanakorn said the review uses data analytics tools and targets high-volume activity involving USDT.
The BOT is coordinating with Thailand’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on potential follow-up regulatory actions stemming from the audit.
