A Token Pocket executive said Robinhood founder Vlad Tenev’s seed phrase was leaked during a livestream, enabling a hacker to take control of the address and trade a token called $1.
According to PANews, Token Pocket Chief Business Officer Michael wrote on X that after gaining control, the hacker used the address and related addresses to buy the $1 token, prompting thousands of followers to buy in and pushing the token’s market capitalization from about $500,000 to $14 million before the price later crashed.
Michael said the token’s trading volume reached about $20 million over roughly two hours. After the related addresses were frozen, the hacker moved to BNB Chain, issued a new token using the same address and associated addresses, conducted buy-and-sell operations, and then sold off to cash out.
