Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi Pledges More Funding for Startups, Including Web3 Firms

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi said Japan will expand funding from the government and financial institutions for startups, including Web3 companies.

According to NS3.AI, Takaichi announced the initiative while introducing the Total Support Package for Startups at WebX 2026.

She said the package, which was established in May 2025, is intended to strengthen support for startup financing, with Web3 firms included among the targeted beneficiaries.
