Tom Lee Says 2026 Focus Includes U.S. Monetary Policy, Clarity Act, and AI FOMO at WebX 2026

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said key macro issues to watch in 2026 include U.S. monetary policy, the Clarity Act, AI-driven fear of missing out and the capital it draws, and unusually weak performance in the financial sector compared with other industries.

According to Odaily, Lee made the remarks in Tokyo on July 13 during a WebX 2026 event hosted by Coinpost, where he delivered a speech titled “Ethereum: The Cure for the Wealth Uncanny Valley.”

Lee compared Ethereum’s price trend with the S&P 500 and said Ethereum currently resembles the stock market after 1987, describing it as being at a bottom and about to rise.

He also reviewed Ethereum’s price elasticity across different periods and said many investors fear “low prices” while overlooking what he described as underlying value, adding that Wall Street favors Ethereum due to institutional adoption.

Lee cited the launch of Robinhood Chain as a recent major development in the Ethereum ecosystem and pointed to what he described as exaggerated Ethereum gas consumption associated with it.
