According to CNBC, the Seattle Seahawks said they have agreed to be sold to the Khosla family, including Khosla Ventures founder Vinod Khosla, in line with the wishes of late owner Paul Allen. A person familiar with the deal said the purchase price is $9.612 billion and the transaction is subject to NFL approval; the Khosla family is expected to become the team’s controlling owner. As part of the deal, the family will be required to give up its 3.1% minority stake in the San Francisco 49ers, which Khosla bought in 2025. Allen’s estate began the sales process on Feb. 18, and the Seahawks said the team is expected to remain in Seattle; the franchise has a lease at Lumen Field through 2032 with three 10-year options.
