Xiaomi (1810) said its Xiaomi Auto unit will launch a new product series called “SkyNomad,” according to Ming Pao.
The company said in its latest “Q&A with Netizens” that China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has already disclosed many configuration details for the series in an official notice. Xiaomi said the market should be able to make a basic estimate of SkyNomad’s cost and value based on the available information.
Responding to some market pricing speculation that it said was significantly below common-sense cost levels, Xiaomi said it understood the desire for an “attractive price,” but stressed that pricing should be based on “science.”
