Bitcoin held near $63,800 on Saturday and ether hovered around $1,800 after the U.S. launched its third round of strikes on Iran this week and Tehran declared the Strait of Hormuz closed “until further notice.” According to CoinDesk, U.S. Central Command said President Trump ordered the strikes targeting Iran’s ability to attack commercial vessels after Iranian forces hit a Cyprus-flagged container ship. Vessel-tracking data showed some traffic near Hormuz in Asian hours Sunday, though well below normal.
