Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said it carried out strikes in the Strait of Hormuz and later targeted a U.S. military base in Qatar.
According to Jin10, the IRGC public relations department said in a statement that the actions were in response to what it described as continued U.S. attacks on Iran's armed forces coastal bases.
The statement said Iran struck a second "violating vessel" in the Strait of Hormuz and forced it to stop sailing.
It also said that, in a second phase of retaliatory operations, Iran used ballistic missiles to strike the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.
The statement said the targets included the base's fighter aircraft maintenance support center and its command and control center.
