William Saliba and Dayot Upamecano missed France training on Saturday afternoon at the team’s base camp in the west of Boston ahead of the World Cup semi-final. Kylian Mbappé trained as usual after going off late in Thursday’s quarter-final win over Morocco with an ankle injury, while Aurélien Tchouaméni returned after missing the quarter-final with a thigh injury, according to Yahoo Sports.
Saliba has been managing a back issue during the tournament, and Upamecano was rested for load management while dealing with foot pain. Both defenders were still expected to be available for the semi-final against Spain, with France due to train again Sunday morning before flying to Dallas in the afternoon.
