Some analysts see bitcoin peaking at $300,000–$500,000 in 2029, but historical cycle math suggests those targets may be unlikely. According to CoinDesk, bitcoin’s four-year halving cycle has produced progressively smaller peak-to-peak multiples: $266 (2013), nearly $20,000 (2017), about $69,000 (2021) and $126,000 (2025). With the next halving scheduled for April 2028, the next cycle peak is expected in 2029, but the trend implies more measured gains as BTC becomes larger and more institutionalized via ETFs, futures and options.
