Iran’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said on July 10 that the United States had violated a memorandum of understanding by launching and continuing large-scale military attacks on Iran, infringing on Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, according to Jiemian News. Iravani said the US should bear full international responsibility for the legal and political consequences of what he called illegal actions, and warned that if the US continues to breach its obligations under the memorandum, Iran would no longer consider itself bound by the memorandum’s obligations.
