Ethereum's Post-Merge Energy Use Estimated at 7.87 GWh Annually, Report Says

Ethereum now consumes about 7.87 GWh of electricity per year following The Merge, according to an estimate from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance.

According to NS3.AI, the report put Ethereum’s annual emissions at about 2.37 ktCO₂e, representing a decline of roughly 99.98%.

The report also estimated that sustainable energy accounts for 56.4% of the electricity used by the Ethereum network.
