A Florida man, Randall Kahn, said he lost $251,300 after receiving a call from someone who claimed to be a Wells Fargo fraud representative and instructed him to withdraw cash.
According to NS3.AI, the caller’s instructions led Kahn to take out the funds, after which the money was lost.
Wells Fargo said it would not reimburse Kahn for the loss. The bank stated that it followed proper policies when authorizing the transactions.
