A $293 billion lawsuit over long-dormant Bitcoin addresses has narrowed after plaintiffs dropped 44 defendants from a case filed in New York County Supreme Court. According to NS3.AI, the plaintiffs filed a voluntary discontinuance on July 7, leaving the lawsuit focused on 39,025 wallets.
Galaxy Digital head of research Alex Thorn said the addresses removed from the case later moved 46,334 BTC on-chain.
The filing also references a claimant identified as John Doe 33, who said his portfolio exceeded $80 billion when the plaintiffs filed the case.
