Greenland Holdings said in a July 10 filing that it expects a net loss attributable to shareholders of 300 million yuan to 400 million yuan for the first half of 2026, compared with a loss of 3.506 billion yuan a year earlier, according to Jiemian News. The company attributed the change mainly to a continued property market downturn and slower infrastructure investment growth, which it said delayed progress on projects under construction, reduced property delivery area and infrastructure project output, and lowered gross margin on delivered property. It also said that as more projects reached completion and delivery, capitalizable borrowing costs fell sharply, leading to higher interest expenses recognized in profit and loss.
