U.S. stocks rose overnight and U.S. equity futures extended gains in early trading, as SK Hynix’s ADR issuance became the largest fundraising by a foreign company and investors turned more optimistic about AI-related demand, according to Ming Pao.

The renewed optimism drove inflows into semiconductor shares and lifted Asian markets. South Korea’s KOSPI rose more than 4% and the KOSDAQ gained more than 6%, while Japan’s Nikkei 225 climbed more than 1.9%. China A-shares and Hong Kong stocks also advanced, while Taiwan’s market was closed due to a typhoon.

In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index and the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index hit three-week highs, and the Hang Seng Tech Index rose for a third straight day to a one-month high.
