Subversive Capital has filed applications for two actively managed prediction market exchange-traded funds (ETFs), according to Bloomberg ETF analyst Eric Balchunas. According to ChainCatcher, the proposed products are the Subversive Prediction ETF and the Subversive All Season Sports ETF.
Balchunas said the funds are expected to place roughly 30 to 50 event-based positions across different prediction markets. The filings indicate the strategies would span areas including macroeconomics, politics, weather, and sports events.
Balchunas characterized the concept as a “degen Peter Lynch,” describing the approach as a high-risk, event-driven style of active management.
