China’s 15th Five-Year Carbon Peak Plan Targets 30% NEV Share by 2030

China released its “15th Five-Year” carbon peaking action plan on July 9, setting a target for new energy vehicles (NEVs) to account for 30% of the vehicle fleet by 2030 and for NEVs used in commercial operations to reach a 25% share, according to Jiemian News. The report said NEVs made up about 12% of China’s total vehicle fleet by the end of 2025.
