According to Axios, President Trump said Wednesday that the ceasefire with Iran is over and called continued negotiations a "waste of time," speaking at a NATO summit in Turkey. Axios reported the remarks came hours after the U.S. carried out a new round of strikes on Iran in retaliation for renewed Iranian attacks on commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude jumped 6% to nearly $79 in morning trading after Trump’s comments, Axios said, and the U.S. also revoked a general license that had allowed the sale of Iranian oil.
