According to Lianhe Zaobao citing Xinhua, the Louvre Museum in Paris said it will close early from July 10 to 13 as a new round of high temperatures pushes up temperatures in parts of the building and affects visitors. The museum said closing time will be moved up from 6 p.m. to 4 p.m., with last entry brought forward to 2 p.m.; the Musee National Eugene-Delacroix will follow the same schedule. The Louvre said recent heat and strong sunshine have raised temperatures in parts of its 73,000-square-meter exhibition space, making it unable to ensure comfort for visitors and staff, especially during crowded afternoon hours. The Louvre previously closed early from June 24 to 27 due to hot weather, and French media reported the current heat wave is expected to last at least until July 14.
