Kresus has introduced Kresus Inheritance, a service designed to let users create an inheritance plan for their cryptocurrency assets without sharing private keys or using complex recovery procedures. According to Foresight News, the service was reported by Decrypt.
Kresus said the inheritance feature costs $99.99 per year and is built into the Kresus self-custody wallet. The service allows users to name beneficiaries, who can access the user’s portfolio only after a preset inactivity period ends.
Kresus said private keys are not shared during the transfer process. The company added that users retain full control of their assets while they are active and that Kresus does not custody user funds.
Under the service’s design, the wallet owner maintains control unless the inactivity period ends and the inheritance process is triggered.
