Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said on July 9 that other countries have “no right to interfere” in affairs related to the Strait of Hormuz, according to Jiemian News. In a statement, the IRGC Navy said Iran has increased the number of vessels allowed to pass through the strait over the past two weeks, but claimed U.S. actions have seriously disrupted the process of reopening the waterway and warned that U.S. “adventurism and interference” on shipping transit issues would draw an “overwhelming response” from Iran.
