An Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps ground forces commander said the United States and Israel had previously planned, at different stages, to set up anti-government and extremist groups inside Iran.
According to Jin10, the commander said the plans involved Iran's southeast and northwest, and were intended to carry out attacks on Iran.
The commander said the plots were thwarted because the country remained vigilant and because armed forces, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, the Iranian army, and the Basij militia, took preemptive action.
The United States and Israel have not responded to the claims.
