Karen Young, a senior research scholar at Columbia University’s Center on Global Energy Policy, said Iran appears unwilling to give up its leverage over the Strait of Hormuz, leaving Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar at a disadvantage, according to Bloomberg.

US President Donald Trump has warned the US could reimpose a blockade on Iran as tensions persist over the waterway.
