A user lost about 999,999 USDT after signing a phishing token approval on Ethereum. According to Odaily, the attacker initially attempted to withdraw 1 million USDT but the transaction failed because the requested amount exceeded the wallet balance by $631.
The attacker recalculated the amount 36 seconds later and successfully withdrew the remaining balance. Scam Sniffer advised users to verify all signature requests and avoid signing transactions in a hurry.
