据Axios报道，共和党超级捐助人、亿万富翁投资者肯·格里芬（Ken Griffin）周三在一场私人会议上表示，若2028年共和党总统初选在美国国务卿马尔科·鲁比奥（Marco Rubio）与副总统JD·万斯（JD Vance）之间对决，他将支持鲁比奥。报道指，格里芬在2024年捐款超过1亿美元，并在爱达荷州太阳谷举行的艾伦公司（Allen & Company）会议上接受《纽约时报》财经专栏作家安德鲁·罗斯·索尔金（Andrew Ross Sorkin）提问时作出上述表态。Axios称，鲁比奥表示若万斯参选，他将让位于万斯；格里芬发言人拒绝置评。
